According to the eMarketer report &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.emarketer.com\/Report.aspx?code=emarketer_2000767\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Canada Retail Ecommerce Forecast<\/a>&#8220;, published in February 2011, Canada has an expected online sales growth of between 12% and 14% on average over the next four years.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>1. <\/strong><strong>More and more Canadians from all demographics are shopping online<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>According to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.statcan.gc.ca\/daily-quotidien\/100927\/dq100927a-eng.htm\">Statistics Canada<\/a>, Canadians used the Internet in\u00a02009\u00a0to place orders for goods and services valued at\u00a0$15.1\u00a0billion, up from\u00a0$12.8\u00a0billion in\u00a02007.<\/li>\n<li>In 2009, about 39% of Canadians aged 16 and over used the Internet to place more than 95 million orders. This was up from 32% and the 70 million orders placed in 2007, when the survey was last conducted.<\/li>\n<li>The increase resulted from more online shoppers and a higher volume of orders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>2. <\/strong><strong>Online shopping in Canada is expected to continue to grow<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.emarketer.com\/Article.aspx?R=1008246\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">eMarketer<\/a> estimates consumers in Canada spent $16.5 CAD billion ($16.0 billion) in 2010 on both domestic and foreign sites for products and services (including travel). By 2015, that amount will nearly double to $30.9 CAD billion ($30.0 billion).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.emarketer.com\/Article.aspx?R=1008246\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1251 size-full\" title=\"2011_Retail_eCommerce_Sales_Canada_2010_2015\" src=\"https:\/\/webtargetinc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/2011_Retail_eCommerce_Sales_Canada_2010_2015.gif\" alt=\"eMarketer Retail eCommerce Sales Canada 2010 to 2015 image\" width=\"324\" height=\"298\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>3. <\/strong><strong>Online sales continue to <\/strong><strong>grow faster<\/strong><strong> than brick-and-mortar sales.<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>B2C eCommerce will enjoy a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10.6% according to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.emarketer.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">eMarketer<\/a>\u2019s projections, and US retailers are well aware of the opportunity and are moving fast.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>4. <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.statcan.gc.ca\/daily-quotidien\/100927\/dq100927a-eng.htm\"><strong>Statistic Canada<\/strong><\/a><strong> research shows online stores complement brick and mortar stores<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>In\u00a02009,\u00a052% of Canadians went online to &#8220;window shop,&#8221;
